Virtual Reading Red Book Club: Borderlands/La Frontrera: The New Mestiza

Borderlands/La Frontera: The New Mestiza by Rio Grande Valley native Gloria Anzaldúa was selected by Main Space artist Jose Villalobos. This collection of pioneering literature details the invisible “borders” that exist within and between cultures. The Chicana-Tejana-lesbian-feminist combines autobiography, poetry, and allegations of gender and sexuality to discover “Nepantla”, “a spiritual place of transition… where energies gather to create radical visions of transformation.”
The book club meeting will be held virtually on Saturday, February 27, at 2pm. Reading Red is free and open to the public. Registration is required.
