¡VIVA! Uno Más

In support of arts and artists in San Antonio, ¡VIVA! A Live Telethon will take place on Saturday, May 8 from 6:00 p.m. to midnight, in partnership with Luminaria, Nelco Media, and Texas Public Radio. The 6-hour telethon will be hosted by local musician Garrett T. Capps and livestreamed on the Texas Public Radio Facebook page from the Malú & Carlos Alvarez Theater & Studio, inside the Irma & Emilio Nicolas Media Center, at Texas Public Radio’s new downtown headquarters. The program will also be streamed on multiple Facebook channels, YouTube, TPR.org, and LuminariaSA.org. In addition, viewers can watch the livestream in-person during a watch party at The Lonesome Rose, courtesy of Slab Cinema.

This second arts fundraiser will feature live interviews and performances from local talent; pre-recorded videos of special performances; appearances from artists, dancers, and filmmakers; plus surprise co-hosts, games, and viewer polls of a live friendly competition to elect three artists who will be featured during TPR’s Nightstream activation at the 2021 Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival.
