WE ARE THE ANIMALS

We Are The Animals is an exhibition of works on paper that focuses on sustainability and vulnerability. Our fragile environment has become possibly the most critical concern of our time, and I am trying to turn my bewilderment into small, artistic action by painting and drawing myself into themes of sustainability and community. Each work will explore these subjects through the song lyrics of singer songwriter Langhorne Slim’s recording, We Love the Animals. This body of work is the first of several small collections on this theme. Joining me in these efforts are artists Rikkianne Van Kirk and Jayne Lawrence, with music by Los Djangoleros and D.T. Buffkin.
