Letras en la Frontera

Since 2008, Letras en la Frontera emerged as a grassroots collective of Latino writers committed to promoting literacy in Spanish and increasing the visibility of Latino authors in the United States. From its inception, the organization responded to the lack of platforms dedicated to Spanish-language literature by creating accessible, community-centered spaces for reading, writing, and cultural exchange.

In its early years, Letras en la Frontera focused on organizing literary readings, workshops, and conversations that brought together writers from diverse backgrounds, particularly those connected to border and migrant experiences.
