PuroSlam Poetry

PuroSlam is the only nationally certified poetry slam operating in San Antonio, Texas. A poetry "slam" is similair to an open mic in that everyone can read. It differs in that poets are scored 1-10 by randomly selected audience members over the course of three rounds. PuroSlam is a rough reading for those used to the conventional open mic being the audience is given more respect than the poet. As a poet you must demand attention and be ready for heckles hollered from a frequently intoxicated audience looking for good entertainment.
