The Great Commission Theatre

The Great Commission Theatre is a San Antonio-based nonprofit performing arts organization dedicated to creating compelling theatrical experiences that engage the imagination, stir the heart, and spark meaningful conversation. We believe storytelling has the power to build empathy, foster connection, and illuminate the shared human experience across generations, cultures, and communities.

Through original productions, staged readings, script development, educational programming, and artistic collaborations, GCT supports both emerging and established artists while creating welcoming spaces for audiences to encounter stories of struggle, resilience, hope, and transformation. By blending artistic excellence with community engagement, we use theatre as a catalyst for reflection, dialogue, and human connection.
