Nancy is classically trained in oil painting and traditional drawing. She received her B.A. and M.F.A. degrees in Fine Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles during the 1970's, when women artists were just beginning to be accepted.  In the early 1990's Nancy discovered the emerging digital art media and became proficient with it very quickly.

As Nancy describes, “During the 1990's I bought a computer and began to teach myself digital media because I believed it would be the future of visual arts.” Nancy was right and this led her to become successful in digital media. Her early digital works were included in the Museum of Modern Art New York’s 1999 “Museum as Muse” online exhibition, the Las Vegas Truly Virtual Art Museum “The Petersburg Biennale of Computer Graphics” in St. Petersburg, Russia and many other exhibitions. She began teaching digital art at colleges while developing and exhibiting her works.

Nancy adapts the aesthetics of her classical art training to the digital works, using photography and digital painting to explore the beauty of the natural landscape. The colors are intensified and the forms are abstracted to express the mystical qualities one experiences while absorbed in the splendor of nature. Her artworks have won awards and are included in private, corporate and medical  collections. She was include in the 2016  San Antonio Dept. of Cultural and Creative Development’s Public Artist Mentorship Program and was a featured artist at San Antonio’s 2017 and 2018 Luminaria Contemporary Arts festival. Collectors include University Hospital of San Antonio, Google Pacific Northwest, Freddie Mac Dallas, Google Austin, E*Trade Dallas, TCC Multifamily Interiors, VSA Texas, EarGo US, Merck Rahway NJ, NeuroAlert White Plains NY, Randolph Air Force Legal department, Texas Governor's Office on Persons with Disabilities, Woodlands High School,  and many individuals.

Nancy experiences severe hearing loss and won the 2017 Texas Governor’s Committee on Disability’s artist award; her work was featured on posters that were distributed to 2500 state agencies. In 2021 she was a featured artist in the committee’s webinar : “Art Works! Careers in the Visual Arts and People with Disabilities”.

Nancy's versatile works can be printed at any size on various substrates, projected or displayed online. She currently is experimenting with animated videos and enjoys trying out new digital technology.
