Using photography, sculpture and installation, Stuart Allen explores fundamental elements of perception such as light, time, gravity and space. His work has been included in over a hundred exhibitions throughout the US and abroad and he is represented in many significant public and private collections including four U.S. Embassies, UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, the Tokyo Kite Museum, and more than a dozen American museums. His work has been featured in multiple books surveying contemporary landscape work and covered in the New York Times, Forbes, the Boston Globe, and many other publications and broadcasts.

Stuart has completed more than 20 public art projects in a variety of media, from tensioned sailcloth to stainless steel. Working with six other San Antonio artists, Stuart curated and project managed a series a seven installations for Yanaguana Garden at Hemisfair Park. He was also the project manager for Confluence Park, an environmental education initiative on the Mission Reach of the San Antonio River that received an AIA Honor Award in 2018.

Stuart studied architecture at Kansas University and graduated from the photography and video department of the Kansas City Art Institute. He lives and works in San Antonio, Texas.
