Monica Estrada-Saldana is a San Antonio based artist and photographer. As a former professional makeup artist Monica spent 6 years working on film sets, television, and print. As a self-taught Artist/Photographer she began to study the photographers and filmmakers on set and learned from them. Her experience as a makeup artist introduced her to some very amazing and incredible photographers and artists from around the country. Five years ago, Monica put down the makeup brushes and picked up the camera.

She is inspired by nature, traveling, and her own everyday life. Her work can be described as soft with romantic points of view. She shows the magic of her world through her lens.

Monica is a fulltime artist photographer who works and lives in San Antonio. In her short time as a fulltime artist/ photographer she has had her photos published on Vogue Italia online numerous times, her documentary photography has been featured in Yes Maam zines award winning “The Dream” issue. She has had her art published in a number of publications and literary magazine and has shown her art in galleries in Los Angeles, New York, San Antonio and around south Texas and currently has 4 photos as part of Permanent Collection Exhibition at the Philadelphia International Airport.
