Hailey Marmolejo was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She majored in fine arts and Spanish at St. Edward’s University. During her time in Austin, Hailey interned at MexicArte Museum and La Peña Art Gallery, and participated in several group shows at La Peña as well. Hailey spent a semester in Madrid, and studied painting at Universidad de Antonio de Nebrija. After receiving her BFA, Hailey moved to NYC to attend the Stella Adler Conservatory of Professional Acting. During her time in acting school, she continued to paint while working part time at the Brooklyn Museum of Art. She has shown her work in bars, restaurants and galleries around NYC and Texas, and has used her art to raise money for charities such as RAICES Texas, an organization dedicated to providing free and low cost legal services to families on the border. While living in NYC, Hailey also performed in several off broadway plays, and began doing street art. Hailey recently painted a mural at El Camino, a new bar on the River Walk. Her mural, “Quisierron Enterrarnos” was a finalist for Best Mural in the SACurrent. She was recently one of six artists selected to paint the 175th anniversary mural for Travis Park Church. Currently she is working on a new mural for The Historic Market Square, commissioned through San Antonio Cultural Arts (SACA) by the Department of Arts and Culture.
