Michael Aaron Casares is an American poet and novelist. His most recent publications include Even In Death (2021), Severance: Poems from a Dystopian America (2020), Poetry from the Edge of Forever (2020), The Vanishing Poet (2020), A Trick of the Eyes (2017) and The Distance to the End (2016). He has two previously published collections of poetry, This Reality of Man (2011), and Sad Height (2005).

Michael is the founder of Virgogray Press, a perennial publishing house of underground poetry and literature since 2005, and blogs at his website: The Root of Many Returns. Michael hosts the podcasts The C Report, a current events show that livestreams on multiple platforms, and his personal podcast, The Experience w/ Michael Aaron Casares.
