Tiffany Moreno is a visual artist currently based in San Antonio, Texas. She received her BFA in Studio Art from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi. Over the past 20 years, Moreno’s professional work experience has expanded to include arts administration and community education at museums, galleries, and centers in Texas. Her artwork, strengthened by her professional experience, derives inspiration from her own life, growth, and absurdity. Drawing from faith, music, family humor, and her small-town upbringing, Moreno creates whimsical works that combine cultural and stylistic influences.

Her 2019 solo exhibit titled “Con Cariño” was held at the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center’s community gallery in Austin, Texas.  “Con Cariño” is an investigation of the natural tension between loss and healing. Humor and heartbreak are juxtaposed in imagery that feels both familiar and foreign. Strange characters and common objects are steeped in cultural iconography and playful phrases that create dissonance. But rather than a sheepish chuckle in an awkward situation, this work is meant to be tongue-in-cheek in the face of pain.

Moreno’s 2024 solo exhibit titled “Skin of My Father” was on display at Carbon Bloom Gallery located at the Blue Start Art Complex in San Antonio, Texas.  This series explores themes of family culture, identity, and nostalgia. Inspired by childhood memories, Moreno’s paintings reflect the influence of her father’s pride in the family name and history. Moreno uses mark-making and stylistic references to express an honest appreciation for her upbringing in rural Texas.
