Lindsey Ayres Day is a fine artist, teacher, and illustrator based in San Antonio, Texas. She works in a variety of media, techniques, and styles to create her highly detailed, vibrantly colored fine art portraits and illustrations, featuring storytelling, children, women, and nature. She earned her high school’s Visual Art Sterling Scholar award for academic excellence and talent while also illustrating her first children’s book, The Christmas Animals.  She took time off from art to earn her elementary education degree, raise kids, and work in a school library, all of which gave her great experience to put towards her dream of creating children’s literature. After receiving an ARPA for Arts grant through the City of San Antonio, she was able to get her business off the ground and is currently writing and illustrating her own children’s books to publish and tour schools, while also working on fine art pieces and commissions for sale online, her art festival booths around San Antonio and Texas Hill Country, and other venues (including public murals in the future).
