I developed an interest for art at a very young age. I remember being captivated by art when i first saw some original drawings on cloth and on paper.  The artist had used pen, graphite, and colored pencils.  Naturally, i began by using these same materials in my attempt to make beautiful art myself.  After high school i decided to go to the local college and university to major in Architecture here i was able to apply much of my learned drawing skills i had developed through the years.  It was not until my late 20s that i was introduced to painting.  From there, i began to paint using acrylics and later began using oil paint, which at present is my most preferred medium.  In my art,my subjects vary.  I have done portraits, animals, and other commissioned works.  In my non-commissioned works i enjoy depicting conceptual ideas, which also vary in subject matter. Some of my base subject matter and concepts include the human body, perspective, symmetry and asymmetry, and other various elements i learned in architectural studio.  The styles i am inspired by most are those of Realism, Surrealism, and Abstract Expressionism. The historical period which has been the greatest inspiration to me is the Renaissance and the artists of that period beginning with Michelangelo Buonarroti.  I am constantly challenging myself to become a better painter and to discover new ideas to include in art.
