Liza Ybarra is a singer/songwriter born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She attended Edgewood Fine Arts Academy studying Musical Theatre and began her musical career in the mid 90's with the Tejano band, Groupo E'lusion, opening for La Tropa F and touring all over Texas.

Liza has had the opportunity to work in prestigious venues such as The Ricardo Montalbán Theatre (formerly Doolittle Theatre) in Hollywood, California. She starred in the Broadway-style stage performances Selena Forever and Selena: A Musical Celebration of Life, playing Suzette Quintanilla, the sister of late Tejano superstar Selena Quintanilla and drummer in their family band, Los Dinos. After a nationwide audition, she was selected to perform on The Christina Show for millions of viewers in 2001. She has also performed for millions on the Freeman Coliseum Float at the San Antonio Fiesta Flambeau Parade and in community venues like Centro Cultural Aztlan and Network for Young Artists for over 25 years.

Liza has a Broadcast Music, Inc. publishing company under MGAS where she published her original albums A Noche Soñé and Soldadera. Her original song “Hermoso Cariño,” is currently ranked #3 on Reverb Nation Tejano Hits. In April 2023, she released her Fiesta anthem “La Papaya” online. She is currently recording a new album at Velasquez Music recording studio with 14-time Grammy and Latin Grammy award winning artist, Gilbert Velasquez.
