Sarmad Mahmood is a vocalist, musician and composer born and raised in Tuz Khurmatu, Iraq, his passion for music began in childhood, but he first began practicing and learning music at the age 22. two years later , he began studying music more seriously after moving tor turkey, where he lived for next 10 years . Sarmad plays traditional turkish bouzoki and Arabic oud. he won a competition for traditional Turkish music in 2011 and was a participant the Turkvision Song Contest 2020. He has a master's degree in Computer Science from Gazi University in Ankara. Sarmad moved to San Antonio in 2020.
