Patrick Joven is the single founder and artist for BioCreative Arts. He is a California-born, Texas-raised, Filipino-American currently based in San Antonio, Texas. Since Patrick was young, he always had a love for drawing but he never though there was anything he can do with it in the future; therefore, he pursued another passion: science. His educational background consists of a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a Concentration in Athletic Medicine and a personal training certification through NASM which he used to build years of experience working in post rehabilitation exercise for those who have spinal cord injuries and neurological disorders, and exercise prescription for personal training clients. During Patrick's undergraduate studies, he re-found his love for drawing while also discovering the importance for art in education, after using it to help him learn and remember complex scientific concepts. Since then, Patrick has found a passion for sharing the beauty of science through his art. He is now a part-time illustrator and full-time nursing student.
