As a native of San Antonio, I shape raw materials into meaningful sculptures that reflect identity and purpose. Exploring different materials sparks fresh ideas, pushing me to develop new techniques and create abstract forms. My fascination with transforming environments through hands-on work led me to delve into construction, metalwork, and carpentry. Since 2016, I've apprenticed under local artists, showcasing my work in galleries across Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio. I've assisted in public sculpture projects and currently contribute my skills at Esther Benedict Metal Sculpture Studios and previously worked for public artist Bill Fitzgibbons in his studio and gallery. My experience involves managing intricate structural challenges, conceptualizing designs, and overseeing project execution. Notably, I've contributed to public art installations like the Bandera Natural History Museum and Oak Hills Church. I often work with heavy steel tailored for site specific designs using CNC plasma tables and other fabrication methods.
