Profile

Writer, playwright, screenwriter and media analyst, originally from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon (Mexico) based in San Antonio, Texas (United States) -with dual nationality: Mexican and American-.

He has a degree in Social Communication and a Master's Degree in Higher Education from the Universidad Regiomontana (U.R)

At RADIO he has been a producer and commentator on stations in Mexico City and Monterrey. He was also Operations Manager of Núcleo Radio Monterrey.

He has collaborated for more than 25 TELEVISION productions, highlighting "Siempre en Domingo" and its sister broadcasts, under the baton of the renowned producer, director and host Raúl Velasco (Televisa, Mexico)

In CINEMA, he has written a variety of feature films and short films. Among his best-known films are "Cantinflas" (KENIO Films), which represented Mexico in the running for the Oscar for "Foreign Film" in 2015; "Jesus of Nazareth," "John the Apostle, the Most Beloved" and "The Christ Child" (Beverly Hills Entertainment) and "We Are Invisible" (SIZIGIA Films)

In THEATER, he has written 11 short plays and 6 long plays, which have been staged in Mexico (Monterrey, N.L., Mexico City and Villahermosa, Tab.) and the United States (Miami, FL and Houston, TX)

He collaborates with film and TV reviews and opinion articles for various SPECIALIZED MAGAZINES. For 12 years he was a PROFESSOR at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Universidad Regiomontana and now, independently, he teaches courses, workshops, conferences and master classes in Cultural Centers, Institutes, Schools, NGOs and Universities, both public and private, in Mexico, the United States, Central and South America.

He has been CONTENT COORDINATOR for the ITEN (Inter-American Network of Teacher Education) under the Organization of American States (OAS) based in Washington, DC, U.S.A. He serves as an ADVISOR and/or JURY in various International Film Festivals, has participated as an evaluator of the Committee of Specialists of Audiovisual Projects of the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage of the Government of Chile,  in its 2021, 2022 and 2023 editions and as an ADVISOR/EXHIBITOR of BioBio Conecta (Industry and Academy of FICIL) in its 2023 Edition, in Concepción, Chile.

Currently, he is professor at SCHOOL ALF THE ARTS AND MEDIA INSTITUTE (online, based in Miami, Fl) Also, he is in pre-production of a historical series (epic fiction), in the development of a script for a biographical film, of a new theatrical piece and collaborates as a STORYTELLER / SCRIPTWRITER in the Unscripted division of BTF (Break The Format) with which he is in the middle of production of 2 docuseries and a documentary feature film for WARNER MEDIA/HBO and VICE.
