I am a local artist with a deep-rooted passion for cinema and desire to tell challenging, emotionally dense narratives. As far back as I could remember, I always wanted to tell stories through whatever medium best served me. As a child, I performed on stage in various productions and even got published in a book of short poems. However, my passion has always been within writing and film. Even as a child, I tackled concepts that grew more and more ambitious through design and execution and, upon completion, would review my work, critique it, and learn from it. I have made numerous student projects, independent shorts, and one proof of concept, which became the basis for my first feature-length film, Maverick.   For the past two years, I have closely collaborated with Machina Productions and TRL Productions on numerous sets and nonprofit events. Through hands-on experience, I was able to make lasting connections and expand my expertise in the highly expansive field of Film and Television. By working alongside industry professionals to give back to the community by raising awareness for local nonprofits, I saw the value of cinema as more than art but a method of connection and unity. While on set, I donned many caps, from PA to Key Grip, Fist Camera Assistant, and Actor. Beyond delving into productions, I also had the incredible opportunity to tutor kids in the 48 to Create Film Festival, where I gave expert advice to participants throughout the production and post-production of their short films. Film is more than a part-time passion; it is my way of life. It is an understanding and linking of art and reality in a way that benefits those who absorb and then reflect upon the meaning. I plan to continue my educational pursuits to attain my bachelor's in Film, Radio, and Television, as well as hone my skills as a writer and director through Internships and hands-on experience working alongside inspirational artists within the industry.
