Caitlin Morris was born in a dorm room at Yale and began fine arts study in the small town of Davidson, NC. Her work is informed by an academic focus in Women’s Studies and living in different parts of the United States. Caitlin’s journey from East to West Coast, as well as Midwestern and Southern regions exposed her to unique people, places and ways of thinking.

Her acrylic paintings are memorable for applying a surreal and feminist lens to the human experience as defined by gender, sexuality and cultural intersections. Through vivid colors and dreamlike imagery, viewers are challenged to explore neglected parts of their identity and the complicated world in which we live.

Galleries and museums across the nation have featured Caitlin’s work. She has been commissioned for commercial work, murals and community initiatives. In addition, her art is held in private collections throughout the US and abroad.

Currently, Caitlin resides in San Antonio, TX with her dog Butterscotch. In addition to painting, she enjoys singing in a band, spending time in nature and out on the dance floor.
