Pianist Andreea Mut joins the Classical Music Institute (CMI) in celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Russian composer Galina Ustvolsakya’s birth with the performance of her Concerto for Piano, String Orchestra, and Timpani. Our celebration of brilliance in the face of adversity will also include Graznya Bacewicz’s Concerto for String Orchestra; Andrzej Panufnik’s Concertino for Timpani, Percussion, and Strings; and Dobrinka Tabakova’s arrangement of Franz Schubert’s Fantasy in F minor. José Luis Gomez returns to conduct the CMI Chamber Orchestra.
