Join us this AUGUST for SAY Sí’s weeklong pARTicipate Summer Sessions for youth! Session attendees work hand-in-hand with SAY Sí’s alumni teaching artists to craft their own learning path. Through creative storytelling and artmaking, students are engaged while making valuable connections with other young artists. By the end of the week, students are inspired by a new appreciation for creative thinking and a newfound place for the arts in their daily lives.

3rd – 5th Grade Track, 1 week: Monday – Friday, August 5 – 9, 2019, 9am – 3pm 
SOY ARTISTA: An Introduction to Multidisciplinary Artmaking
There are many different types of artists. For this track, students will explore art in its many forms – from photography and digital media to theatre and 2D art. Each group of student-artists will shape their own instruction through creative exploration. On the final day, the young artists will share their creations with the rest of the camps and parents at a special showcase at 2pm.

6th – 8th Grade Track, 1 week: Monday – Friday, August 5 – 9, 2019, 9am – 3pm 
ENGINEERS & ARTISTS UNITE!: Connecting the Dots Between Art & Science
In this week-long session, students become both the artist and the engineer looking at how games and apps work, the physics behind sculpture, and how to plan sets for a theatrical production. This session will allow students to get a thorough understanding of how art and science overlap in many art forms. On the final day, the young artists will share their creations at a special showcase at 2pm.

SAY Sí provides before/after care for an additional charge of $50 for the week. With this fee, students can arrive as early as 8:30am and stay as late as 4:30pm.
