Puerto Rican Family Fun Day

Puerto Rican Family Fun Day

Presented by Puerto Rican Heritage Society / Sociedad Herencia Puertorriquena at Institute of Texan Cultures

UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures and the Puerto Rican Heritage Society, a 35 year old non profit organization based in San Antonio, join in celebrating family values, traditions and culture of Puerto Rico in ITC's second-Sunday of the month free entrance family event. Events will be held at the Dome, the first floor exhibit rooms and the outside Amphitheater. Children and adults will surely have a great time! Music played by Tambores del Pueblo and DJ Julio Navarro as well as workshop exhibits on how to make a Coqui in Origami with artist Veronica Caceres, and how to create a "huerto casero" (herb garden) with Huertorriqueno Laura Maria Gruber are just a few of the attractions. Children will enjoy a field day and adults will have bingo and dominoes among the entertainment. Lastly, have a taste of Puerto Rican coffee with us!
