Lovers of baroque music will want to attend the opening concert of the SA Chamber Music Society’s 77th season, featuring a performance by Apollo’s Fire.  The Cleveland-based, GRAMMY–winning ensemble was founded by harpsichordist and conductor Jeannette Sorrell and is renowned for its creative programming, artistic spontaneity and technical excellence.  The Oct 6th concert will feature a deep dive into the widely-loved music of Antonio Vivaldi, including the incomparable “Four Seasons”, the Concerto in G minor for Two Cellos, RV 531, for two cellos, the Concerto in D Major for Flute, “Il Gardellino” (The Goldfinch), and finishing with La Folia (“Madness”), RV 63.  The concert will take place at Temple Beth-El, 211 Belknap Place, San Antonio, starting at 3:15 PM.  Arrive early, as there is open seating for the concert.  Free parking is available in the Temple’s parking lot.

Admission Info
