Fiber Art Celebration and Panel Discussion at Art League in King William
San Antonio Art League & Museum 2019 Artist of the Year Jane Dunnewold writes, “Everything I teach and do is filtered through a deep connection to the energetic, spiritual aspects of human experience. I believe each of us has an inner Creative.”
Jane is the first fiber artist to be named Artist of the Year since the San Antonio Art League was founded in 1912. You are invited to join us at the San Antonio Art League & Museum for a weekend celebration of Fiber Art and creativity. A Pop-Up Shop showcasing an incredible variety of fiber arts will be held at SAALM in conjunction with Jane’s hugely popular exhibition.
A highlight of the weekend will be an informal panel discussion on Saturday at 2:00 at the Art League during which Jane Dunnewold will discuss her work and her process which is both intuitive and disciplined.
Fiber Artists with work for the Pop-Up Shop include Susan Blades, Eleanor Khattar, Yvette Little, Becky Heye, Sue Corbett, Annie Centeno, Ann Weaver-Hart, Robin Early, Linda Rael, and Maggi Peachy. Works will include woven textiles, needlework and felting, wearables, hand-dyed scarves, unique assemblages, inspirational surface designs, and more. This weekend event is free and open to the public.
