It is a timely show as technology continues to impact almost every part of our lives, there is reason to look back as we seek meaningful ways to connect.
Felder Gallery invites you to come see fourteen new drawings of analog objects by Artist Rick Kroninger. The show will run from January 10 – February 8, 2020 with an opening reception featuring an appearance by the San Antonio artist, on Friday January 10, from 5-7 pm. Take a step back during this exhibit by using the rotary phone to dial a loved one, or play vinyl on the record player. “It is a timely show” says Robby Felder, owner of Felder Gallery “as technology continues to impact almost every part of our lives, there is reason to look back as we seek meaningful ways to connect. Looking back reminds us that what was important did not go out of style. Like everything, it changes, but meaningful
connections are not pasśe."
Each piece in this series is of a nostalgic artifact that was, at one time, a part of life. Back in the day, these objects of desire and/or luxury were everywhere. And so, the artist’s homage is a reminder of these inherent truths:
• Looking backward is looking forward.
• Things that are up-to-date are made up of things out-dated
• Advances in anything are preceded by other things
Those with old souls in young bodies (and vice versa) will relate.
And feel especially welcome.
