SoundMaze- Spring Exhibit at The DoSeum

Presented by San Antonio Children's Museum/ The DoSeum at The DoSeum

FEBRUARY 1 – MAY 31
Let your creativity shine and your mind wander through sound and music in The DoSeum’s 2020 Spring Exhibit, Sound Maze. This exhibit gives visitors the opportunity to interact, discover and engage with sound in a completely new way. Paul Dresher, composer and instrument inventor, would like to invite you “on stage” to experiment with his new instruments and discover the joy that making your own music can bring.

It’s time to connect to the musical world in a way that you have never experienced before. Every instrument is meant to be touched, played and discovered. Immerse yourself in the world of sound and energy by experimenting on the deconstructed organ, marimba, or the giant metronome. How can you interact with the exhibit to make new sounds? Musical novices to the next Beethoven will enjoy everything this exhibit has to offer. Your creative side will emerge as soon as you walk up to an instrument and start pulling, pushing, moving, swinging and experimenting. You may even be inspired to make your own instrument.

Music is sound. Sound is energy. In Sound Maze, transform your energy into sound and music. Experience a new kind of musical instrument. One that starts with YOU. Sound Maze will run from February 1 - May 31, 2020.
