Investigate the meaning of words as you generate concepts for your next big writing! Through expression-mapping, participants will creatively deconstruct terms and synthesize summaries to use as the foundation of a haiku, poem or short story. This workshop requires a splash of color, imagination and a doodle or two to bring your map to life! Attendees are encouraged to secure access to drawing paper and materials, a journal, and a dictionary.

The workshop is geared for ages 13-18 years old and is led by Teaching Artist Joy Jiménez. Students will meet for a two-hour online via Zoom. Students will receive class link and instructions which will be delivered prior to the class date.
