Grupo Animo QuaranTEEN Edition: Burnt Beans, Technical Difficulties, and Unfinished Business

Grupo Animo QuaranTEEN Edition: Burnt Beans, Technical Difficulties, and Unfinished Business

Presented by Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center at Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center

Join us LIVE on the Guadalupe Cultural Arts' Facebook Page, YouTube Channel or Zoom for a digital performance of this year's GrupoAnimo QuaranTeen Class.

Local performance artists and theatre instructors, Nicolas Valdez and Maria A. Ibarra, along with the help of Chicano Theatre legend and Director of Programs of the Guadalupe, Jorge Piña, have teamed up for a fourth year to help create an original and thought-provoking performance for Grupo Animo, and this time, it is entirely online.

“I have always been constantly amazed at the creativity of our instructors and students of our Grupo Animo program, but this year, because of the COVID pandemic, we have been challenged to have classes and rehearsals in a virtual reality online”, said Piña. “Our participants and students have been meeting daily online and working hard to create a special production with a unique title called ‘Grupo Animo QuaranTeen Edition: Burnt Beans, Technical Difficulties and Unfinished Business’, please join us for a wonderful QuaranTEEN performance.”

The performance will be streamed on Facebook and later will be published on Guadalupe Cultural Arts’ YouTube Channel where you can find other original Guadalupe Cultural Arts performances and tutorials.

Emceeing the performance from the historic Guadalupe Theater will be Ibarra and Valdez. Don’t miss it!
