This year, Jump-Start’s birthday celebration is online, but this cloud’s silver lining is our opportunity to share new performances by former company members and guest artists from their current far-flung locations.  Of course, we’ll present new works by guests and company members from right here at home (in their homes), too.  The fun begins Saturday, January 9, 2021, at 8:00 p.m CST.

PPXXX6 kicks off with a pre-show playlist of favorite local musicians, followed by a Native blessing of the virtual space by Jesse Borrrego.  The lineup of 36 not-longer-than-two-minute live and video performances begins with San Anto-famous artists including Chayito Champion, Anna De Luna, Eduardo Garza, and Ruby Nelda Perez and continues with guests from out of town including Erik Bosse, Rodney Garza, Katharine Griffith, Jose Torres Tama, Scott Turner Schofield and Kristina Wong.  Between the locals and out-of-towners we’ll insert ¡MinuVistas!, a collection of one-minute videos that follow three prompts. The evening of performance concludes with a dedication to late former company member S.T. Shimi by the Flaming Fire Eaters of Jump-Start.  A dance party, as always, closes out the show.
