San Antonio, Texas (February 9, 2021) – The St. Anthony, a Luxury Collection Hotel, and Felder Gallery are pleased to present a collection of fifteen paintings by Artist Andrea Almond. The show is running from February 1 – March 31, 2021 with the St. Anthony Club open to the public most Tuesdays as part of The St. Anthony’s Live Jazz series featuring the Dirty River Jazz Band.

With 2020 travel restrictions limiting the artist’s freedom to travel and paint beautiful cities around the world, her focus turned to the world-class city she calls home. “I am drawn to the river” says Andrea, “Living near the river gives me many opportunities to study its light and colors. It is all so peaceful.”
“The main difference in this work from past work we have exhibited of Andrea’s is color” says Robby Felder, owner of Felder Gallery. “Her use of color has always captivated me, but the bold palette brings a new accomplishment.”

Each piece in this series was painted in 2020. Many of the titles will indicate the season or light Andrea intended to capture.

About Andrea Almond
Andrea Almond is a landscape painter with a BFA from the University of North Texas. She has studied under notable artists: Ken Auster, Peggy Knoll Roberts, Kim English and Calvin Liang. Andrea is a native Texan, born in Fort Worth, and currently lives and works in San Antonio. In 2003, she took notice of early morning light on the quiet streets of Paris, inspiring her to paint urban landscapes of older cities like San Antonio and New Orleans.

Felder Gallery was founded by San Antonio natives Linda and Larry Felder when they moved to the art community of Rockport, Texas in 2004. Robby Felder took over operations in February of 2009 relocating to the island-resort community of Port Aransas.
