The Esperanza Peace and Justice Center is pleased to announce that we will be hosting our monthly Noche Azul Concert: Agua y Poesía with Azul Barrientos in honor of National Poetry Month.
The concert will be live streamed on Saturday April 24th at 8 PM CT and Sunday, April 25th at 3 PM CT on Facebook and YouTube. Agua y Poesía is an online event of poetry, music y un poquito más.
Join us from the land of the River of “Refreshing Waters,” Yanaguana, for an event of music and poetry. Eight poets and writers will accompany Azul, reading literary works connected to water. In this concert, música y poesía will flow together immersing us in a wave of creative rhythms and evoking conciencia around water, this most basic element of life and sustainability. Musicians accompanying Azul include: Andrew Bergman, Juan Cabrera and Emilio Alvarez. This event will close with a platica with Madeleine Santibañez a community organizer, educator and Board President of Southwest Workers Union.
