A Cyborg Manifesto by Donna Harraway was selected by Hudson Showroom artist Virginia Lee Montgomery (VLM). The 1985 essay analyzes traditional ideas of feminism and encourages establishing alliances through affinity. The cyborg figure is presented to support feminist moves beyond the limitations of conventional politics.

VLM is a video artist, sculptor, and facilitator. She received her BFA from The University of Texas at Austin in 2008 and her MFA from Yale University in Sculpture in 2016. Working across video, performance, sound, and sculpture, her artwork is a research practice of feminist metaphysics.
