Join OPERA San Antonio on July 14th for the next installation of "Charlas Musicales" where host Cecilia Duarte will interview singer Vanessa Alonzo. In 1999, Vanessa won the best US Vocalist Award in the Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza vocal competition an experience that led to her collaboration with Mariachi Vargas for the Mariachi Opera trilogy. A Houston native, she is currently the lead female vocalist in the Houston-based Latin-fusion group Los Guerreros de La Música.
