The Conjunto Heritage Taller’s 2021 Tardeada is a celebration of mujeres (women) in Conjunto music! The event theme and goals surround female empowerment and representation in the conjunto community. Considering that conjunto music has been historically male-dominated, the Conjunto Heritage Taller has set out to bring awareness to the gender divide through our annual Tardeada and other projects. Our 2021 Tardeada will showcase mujeres who are playing a critical role in closing the gender divide and opening doors for other women to pursue and strengthen their role in the conjunto community. From the musical acts to the artist behind the flyer, the Tardeada is powered by MUJERES!
With their talent, artistry, and determination, the 2021 Tardeada artists show us what it means to break barriers and to be a woman in Conjunto. Join us every Wednesday leading up to our Tardeada on August 7th, to celebrate our featured artists through our special #WomanCrushWednesday features online! Then we invite you to celebrate with us at The Dakota East Side Ice House on August 7th for the main event with a powerful lineup of mujeres:
