Picture Your World is a monthly series of nature photography workshops for youth ages 8-18 held on-site at parks and natural areas around the city.
Picture Your World is a nature education outreach program hosted by Green Spaces Alliance of South Texas, a 501 (c) 3 organization. Picture Your World encourages a creative approach to digital photography while advocating a personal connection and promoting environmental stewardship among youth.
Picture Your World workshops are designed for youth ages 8-18 and are held monthly on a Sunday from 1-4 pm at parks and natural areas around the city. Join us on Sunday, October 10, 2021, where we will explore Hardberger Park. Meet us in the classroom at the Urban Ecology Center. Participants will photograph around the center and along the Bypass trail leading to the newly constructed Land Bridge. Picture Your World will provide cameras, photography instruction, along with a guided hike by a Master Naturalist to make the most of your educational experience.
The cost is $10.00 per youth participant. Class size is limited so registration is highly preferred. For registration and tickets please visit the Green Spaces Alliance website at www.greensatx.org. Fee waivers are available upon request. For more information, please contact Carra Garza, Picture Your World Program Manager at carra@greensatx.org, or by calling 210-222-8430, ext 309.
