Landscape and Memory: National Park Service Outreach Event

Landscape and Memory: National Park Service Outreach Event

Presented by Briscoe Western Art Museum and San Antonio Missions National Historical Park at Briscoe Western Art Museum

Join us at the Briscoe Western Art Museum with San Antonio Missions National Historical Park for an in-depth Gallery Talk and discussion of how the Spanish colonial mission sites shaped the American West featuring highlighted pieces in the museum's New Works Gallery. The program makes the connections between Spanish colonialism, the mission sites, and icons of the West like the cowboy, the horse, and the bison. Included with museum admission.

The Briscoe Western Art Museum and National Parks Service Teams are committed to educating the San Antonio community about the history and art of our city, which started with the establishment of the Spanish colonial missions. The Briscoe Western Art Museum is proud to host a diverse collection of artwork and artifacts featuring the San Antonio missions.
