Grammy Award winner Dan Zanes and Haitian-American jazz vocalist Claudia Zanes perform a mix of old and new songs from near and far in a style that’s been called “All Ages Social Music.” In other words, when they perform it’s a party! The selections are drawn from Dan’s celebrated catalogue; their Kennedy Center commissioned folk opera called Night Train 57; the House Party songbook published in 2018, and the new Smithsonian / Folkways release "Dan + Claudia Zanes - Let Love Be Your Guide."

During these highly interactive shows, the audience is invited to dance and sing along in what might be called a casual–and subversively educational–festive atmosphere. The music is homespun, joyful, sophisticated, and artful. These performances appeal to audiences of all ages and the duo is also well loved in school settings.
