2022 Texas Trailblazers Award Luncheon and Conference on Texas: Changing Landscapes

Join us for this year’s Conference on Texas: Changing Landscapes featuring the Texas Trailblazers Awards honoring the trustees of the Robert J. Kleberg, Jr. and Helen C. Kleberg Foundation. Luncheon keynote features Joni Carswell of Texan by Nature with a special message by former First Lady Laura Bush. The luncheon kicks off the 2-day conference with a focus on a global conversation about Texas, especially people’s relationships with the land. Discussions include: Future of the Earth: Climate Ready Buildings with Steve Hennigan, CEO Credit Human; A Century of Change with esteemed naturalist David Schmidly and panels on Next Generations of Land Stewards; Waterways, the Gulf, and Migration; Ocelot as a Mascot for Habitat Change; and Solar Energy Feeding the Grid, among other topics. On Monday evening, enjoy the opening of the new exhibition James Ferdinand McCan: An Artist Rediscovered whose 20th century works documented the changing Texas landscape.
