Our Grandmasters

* JOHN WALKER
John Walker aka “Turn@round” has been a staple in the world of electronic dance music for over 20 years. As a DJ, his achievements are nothing short of notable. As a catalyst for his local scene, he’s churned out a plethora of unforgettable one-offs including ranch parties, packed out world-class clubs and arena-sized raves, all the way down to the heart-felt intimate weeklies. He’s headlined all across the USA and abroad. He’s shared the stage alongside a list of heavy hitters too long to mention. His sound mainly focuses on a blend of house and techno but his diversity can include everything from the headiest minimal to the most beautiful Balearic and Nu Disco tones.
Producing under a range of monikers, his original and remixed work has hit everything from vinyl to digital, television, radio and beyond. His works can be found on Juno, Beatport and Stompy, amongst other distribution outlets. He currently resides in the DFW area working on new material, and in his own words “I really feel like I’m just getting started.

* RICK LARA:
Rick Lara aka "Mr Sprout" is the founder of Sprout (2005) and A&R representative for Calls and Puts Records (2020). He has since been on a journey of stealing his brother's cool mixtapes from the early ’90s. He is passionate about creating regular events for the local San Antonio market, teaching the art he knows with the AM project to youths, and learning to portray his own message in the music under his SOCO moniker. His journey of discovery has brought him to a point in time where he chooses to cultivate house music the best way he knows how - alongside like-minded, loving souls. Founder of SPROUT and SPROUT Sessions.

* MIEL BETON
Born in Cali, Colombia, San Antonio based DJ Miel Beton has been curating music selections for various events for over 4 years. He always brings a unique take to his sets by blending genres and styles. Beginning a love for music at a young age, he was gifted his first guitar at 15 and by 17 had recorded an EP with his band.
Immediately after graduating with a degree in architecture, he joined Ellis Redon as their bassist. Through playing shows he got involved in the local music scene and was eventually invited to guest DJ a First Friday event. It was here that he debuted his eclectic selection of music and began his journey as a DJ. From the beloved salsa of Cali, which he calls home, to the underground experimental electronic scene, Miel Beton’s expansive admiration of music knows no bounds and keeps expanding.
With a name that translates to “honey concrete”, it is only fitting that through these sets he hopes to provide an immersive experience through music that sticks and solidifies into the minds of his listeners. His passion for unique genres and artists only grows as he continues to dig through crates and build his treasured vinyl collection.

* MR. YOSHIMOTO
Born in Guatemala City and raised in both Central America and the United States during the 80s and 90s, Mr. YoShimoto developed an eclectic taste in music and was heavily influenced by western alt rock punk and hip-hop from a very young age. He spent a good portion of his youth at his grandmother's record shop and from their developed his love for music and his eclectic taste. With a few stints in local garage bands as a vocalist and self-taught multi-instrumentalist, he finally found his calling in the early 2000s when he was introduced to rave culture and electronic music at Atlanta’s legendary rave venue “The Globe Theater”. In 2015 Mr. Yoshimoto moved to Dallas, Texas and since then has played venues and held residencies all over DFW,  notably at The Green Elephant. Currently signed to DARCO Music Group, Mr. YoshiMoto resides in San Antonio, Texas where he plays locally and is actively involved in the SATX DJ culture as an artist, producer, and promoter. Mr. Yoshimoto is currently working on his new EP which is expected to release late 2022.

DASHI reimagines the traditional Chinese dining experience by building upon its acclaimed sister-restaurant, Sichuan House, equipped with vaulted ceilings, ornate accents of gold and velvet, and a voluminous dining room.
