The King William Association Cultural Arts Committee presents The Dirty River Jazz Band Concert in the Park FREE for the public of all ages.
The King William Association is delighted to present its second Concert in the Park this Spring. The Dirty River Jazz Band will be bringing the sound of traditional jazz to SAHA’s Beautify San Antonio Park. The seven-piece band is led by Chris Alvarado, and has its roots in Seguin, Texas at Texas Lutheran University. The band performed at a concert with Jim Cullum in their early days.
According to their website, dirtyriverjazzband.com, “With everyone in the band being a music educator, the goal of the band is to bring high energy and expertise to a style of music that some have not forgotten. The roaring 20s are coming back around, and The Dirty River Jazz Band is the future of traditional jazz in Texas.” Come early and bring the family, a blanket or chairs and a picnic if you like. Thanks to HEB for their sponsorship.
