Robert’s medium is wood; he is a cabinet maker.  Robert grew up on the high plains of Texas and later moved with his family to San Antonio.  When hired at French’s Cabinet Shop on Basse Road in the 1980s, he was introduced to the artistry of master woodworkers and antique restorers, allowing him to dream of designing and crafting his own work.  Robert is inspired by the way a tree grows and the grain of its wood.  Seeing possibilities in line, form and joinery prompts each fresh vision.  With every piece he makes, Robert strives for simple beauty. How Long Is It Going To Take? represents 32 years of art and craft in wood.
