Intuitive Musician: Beginner Flute Class

Intuitive Musician: Beginner Flute Class

Presented by American Indians in Texas at the Spanish Colonial Missions at The Neighborhood Place

Learn to play the Native American flute from phenomenal musician, activist, and cultural educator, Ceiba ili. Native American flutes have opened many hearts over the centuries and transported listeners to spaces of inner peace. In this four-part beginner flute playing class, participants are inspired to find their internal songs while learning the meditative art of intentional breathing, and building joy and confidence as an intuitive musician.

The course is comprised of four classes, culminating in a public musical performance and celebration. Classes will take place in person and online from 6:30-7:30pm on June 16th, June 23rd, June 30th, and July 7th. This course is open to 10 students, 13 years of age and older. Participants will receive a flute with tuition, which they may keep upon completion of the course requirements. This class is a collaboration between Ceiba ili and the American Indians in Texas at the Spanish Colonial Missions (AITSCM). We ask that students please provide their consent to AITSCM to film, photograph, tape, and/or record their image and voice in its media activities.
