Join us for the Black History Summer Camp, an online experience for youth between the ages of 12 years old and 17 years old. This unique educational opportunity will be a 4-day opportunity for young people to reshape their self-image and gain confidence through learning history.

** This 1 week FULLY VIRTUAL experience takes place on ZOOM Monday - Thursday @ 11 am CDT.

** The RECOMMENDED age is between 12-17 years old, but ultimately this will be at the discretion of the parent registering their child (in case you have a child older or younger you want to include)

We will connect the past to the present using music ,pop culture images along with historical images and video. Our plan is to use gamification to test their ability to retain information and identify symbols. Finally, we will encourage them to get to know one another to help them bond and understand the importance of community, group learning and teamwork.

It is obvious that Black Americans can no longer depend on the K-12 public school system to teach our children real history, especially as it relates to African Americans. So we want to do our part, stepping outside the traditional education system, to provide a rich learning opportunity.
