Join us this month for Black Consumerism: A Look at Black Spending, Past and Present an online conversation hosted by Melaneyes Media.
In this online learning experience we will view clips from the short film "Secret of Selling to the Negro" produced in 1954. We will analyze some of the generalizations, and assumptions made about African Americans from that time frame, to see if there are parallels today.
We will also take the time to review “It’s in the Bag: Black Consumers’ Path to Purchase,” a study from the Nielsen Company in 2019 to help marketers understand the spending habits of Black Americans.
