Camerata San Antonio kicks off its 20th season with a concert featuring rare chamber music by Richard Strauss (better-known for huge orchestra works such as Also Sprach Zarathustra, used memorably in Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey). The first half is anchored by works for violin and viola by all-living composers: Peter Schickele, Kevin Puts and Errollyn Wallen. Wallen's delightfully unique Five Postcards gives this program its title (Postcards).
