Join authors photographer Dr. Frederick R. Preston and former Texas poet laureate Carmen Tafolla and many more artists for a celebration of the outdoor public arts of San Antonio! Festivities begin at 6:30pm with mariachis and a native indigenous blessing. Program begins at 7pm with a welcome message by San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg. Celebrations will continue with music, dancing, book signing, a short film, refreshments and artist meet and greet. This event is free and open to the public.

About the book: A celebration of the power of public art to express a community’s cultural heritage, Arte del Pueblo explores San Antonio’s heart and soul.
