Join us for a conversation between JD Pluecker, Linda L. Anderson, and Alexis Clements.
A conversation between artist/writer JD Pluecker, lesbian feminist/writer/labor organizer Linda L. Anderson, and writer/filmmaker Alexis Clements who volunteers with the Lesbian Herstory Archives. The three will have a conversation about lesbian herstory and archives as proof of existence and artistic material, in relation to Pluecker’s Artpace exhibition, The Unsettlements: Moms. Pluecker’s art unearths complicated lived connections and considers the wonders of queerness and femininity while using reconstructive modes of creativity.
About the Lesbian Herstory Archives
The Lesbian Herstory Archives exists to gather, preserve and provide access to records of Lesbian lives and activities. Doing this also serves to uncover and document our herstory previously denied to us by patriarchal historians in the interests of the culture that they served. The existence of the Archives will thus enable current and future generations to analyze and reevaluate the Lesbian experience.
Free and open to all. This online event will be held via Zoom.
