The event will be a celebration of the Spring Equinox.
The Spring Equinox Celebration is the culmination of a months-long project called Talleres for Dreaming, where we explored the connection between art, culture, community, and the environment. To mark the end of this project, will be hosting a community dinner at Confluence Park to dream together, sing together, and create together.
Throughout Saturday, March 18 and Sunday, March 19, there will be a series of opportunities to "acknowledge the land" with creative offerings. We will begin at 8:30am on March 18 with the Urban Bird Project who will lead us on a bird watching walk. This will be followed in the evening at 6:00 pm with Seven Land Acknowledgements that guide the audience through a curated artistic experience of the park. The evening will close with a community dinner at 6:45pm (by reservation only). The final offering will be a Water Ceremony, modeled after the Ojibwe ceremonial practices, on Sunday, March 19 at 9:00am
